The Great American Beer Bash

2/19/07- Tough Prevails over Beauty

The crowd could barely contain themselves. After weeks of hype, the most anticipated grudge match of The Great American Beer Bash had finally arrived.

In a surprise twist, this match had an unexpected additional element of drama with Iceman having defeated Tank in the final round of the Flip Cup Championship. However, none of that mattered once these two superstars put their philosophies on the line in a grueling game of Flip Pong.

Tank and Iceman immediately got in each other's face before the match started, with The Gah stepping in to hold them back. Then one last verbal assault took place.

Beauty and toughness staring each other down.

"You're nothing but a pussy," Iceman mocked.

"Hey, I am what I eat, not that you would know anything about that," Tank replied.

"Just remember, anyone can become tough by buying a weapon or working out, but nothing can ever make you're face pretty like mine."

Eventually, they both made it to their sides of the table and the match began with Tank winning first possession. He seized the opportunity by hitting 6 of Iceman's 10 cups before Iceman was able to catch up on flipping and go on offense.

Iceman however, failed to hit a cup in his first two shots, bringing possession back to Tank. He hit another of Iceman's cups and seemed ready to finish him off, but Iceman managed to drink and flip his cup before any more damage could be done.

Before he knew what hit him, Iceman was down by 7 cups.

Now down by 7 cups, Iceman was in a large hole, but he finally able to generate some offense, hitting 5 of Tank's cups.

Tank again only managed to hit one cup on his next turn, which led to Iceman hitting 2 more to cut Tank's lead down to one cup.

The Tank however, would not be denied, sinking Iceman's last two cups on the ensuing possession.

And just like that,Tank had scored a major victory for tough guys everywhere and dealt a heavy blow to the self-esteem of pretty boys everywhere.

"I'm highly disappointed in myself," Iceman admitted after the contest, "My shooting was far below my normal standard and if it weren't for my superior flippin skills, this could have been alot worse."

Tank celebrated his victory by giving Iceman a manly punch to the jaw.

"I knew my toughness would carry me through this match. Hopefully, this is the end of this pretty boy bullshit," Tank said.

Tank celebrates his moral victory with style.

Some spectators were critical of Iceman's last minute decision not to wear his trademark fur coat, even going so far as to speculate that it may have put him at a psychological disadvantage.

"Tonight was all about proving how good I can be even without my fur coat," Iceman said, "However, if I ever lock up with Tank again down the line, you can be sure I'll bring the fur and really show him how a beautiful man can play pong. I will not let this rivalry die."

Don't be suprised if these two superstars lock up again in the future.
