Tag Team Belts to be Dropped for Upcoming Tournament
Ever since the conclusion of The Great American Beer Bash, T-Love and The Gah have been somewhat controversial champions. They had won the belts by defeating Iceman and Freezer in a highly unusual second Tag Team Championship Match. Both Iceman and Freezer, along with many beer pong purists have contested that such an event was uncalled for. "It was bullshit," Iceman has said, "You don't have a belt defended twice at one event. That's like something Hulk Hogan would do." T-Love and The Gah have stood by the commissioner's decision to hold that second Tag Team Championship match. "That second match was absolutely necessary," T-Love said. "The first match had been an extremely poor display of beer pong skill and the fans were enraged. In fact, the ratings speak for themselves as the tag team championship is currently the least viewed video we have posted. Our match with Iceman and Freezer made things right by providing fans in attendence with a true classic for the ages. It's just a shame we don't have that on tape." Nonetheless, the controversy has remained. Therefore, T-Love and The Gah have agreed to drop the belts in favor of a tournament to crown a new and undisputed champion. However, there is a catch as T-Love, The Gah, Iceman, and Freezer cannot be on the same team, potentially forcing these old partners to work against each other. "Personally, I'm ecstatic about this tournament," Freezer says, "The time is finally right for me to emerge as the number one superstar in the WBPF. When I win this tag team tournament and then take The Gah's World Heavyweight Championship, the beer pong nation will be at my feet - where it belongs." The final match of the tournament will take place at Intoxicade, thus completing the card for the Pong-Per-View.
