T-Love
Wins Belts with a Woman
Apparently, feuding with women doesn't mean you can't win belts
with them.
T-Love and a woman by the name of Justine shocked fans everywhere
as not only did they win the double elimination tag team tournement,
they made it through undefeated.
"Remember,
this doesn't prove that women are any good at pong. It proves that
I'm an elite pong player," T-Love stated afterwards.
In what turned out to be a tournament full of major upsets, Single-J
and Brittany were the other team that made it to the finals, providing
perhaps the most unorthodox championship match in recent memory.
"Quite
frankly," T-Love said, " I thought they were a joke going
into the finals. Not only did they have a woman on their team, but
we were the ones who had given them their one loss when we defeated
them by five cups in an earlier round.
However, the team was anything but a pushover as both Single-J and
Brittany played their hearts out and carried a lead through much
of the early stages of the match, while T-Love struggled out of
the gate.
"I felt good," Single-J recalls, "I found myself
hitting nice shots, the same kind that had allowed me to get past
the likes of Iceman and Freezer."
"I
really went for it," added Brittany, "I wanted to show
up T-Love so bad."
But ultimately they would fail as their performance stumbled at
the end allowing T-Love to hit Single-J's final two cups consecutively
and end the match.
"Those
last shots felt really good," said T-Love, "It was the
culmination of a perfect tournament for myself where I proved that
I am one of the greatest tag team players. While I doubt I'll be
able to hold on to these belts for long with a female partner, just
winning them is a true testament to my skill."

As for the road to the championship, it was relatively smooth sailing
for T-Love's team as they used their high seed to their advantage
and were able to get into the finals while only playing Freezer
once and never facing The Gah or Iceman.
The Gah, the largest favorite to win, failed to get past the second
round as he was off his game for some reason, while his partner,
Mr. Jeff was unable to pick up the slack.
"I
blame our defeat entirely on Mr. Jeff," The Gah said in a statement.
Most of the other favored teams also failed failed to gain any momentum
as their lower seeds forced them all to play against each other
constantly and thus give each other losses. This, combined with
the good play of T-Love and Single-J's team, resulted in their eventual
elimination.
