The Gah and T-Love to Headline King of the Table
At
long last, the biggest rivalry in the history of the WBPF
will be showcased in the main event of a pong-per-view.
“I
guess it was only a matter of time,” T-Love said.
T-Love
was announced as the number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight
Championship by the commissioner earlier today, earning
him a date with The Gah in the main event at King of the
Table.
“T-Love
has posted a better beer pong record than any of the other
contenders in the last month and thus has earned his shot,”
the commissioner stated.
Both
superstars have an established history in World Heavyweight
Championship bouts. T-Love won two of his three championships
from The Gah, while The Gah ended both of T-Love’s
title reigns. Despite losing his belt to Tank last month,
before regaining it in a rematch, The Gah remains optimistic
about his chances against T-Love.
“I’ve
beaten T-Love more times than he has beaten me,” The
Gah said. “Everyone knows I’m the top superstar
in the WBPF and I don’t plan to relinquish that title
anytime soon.”
The
feud between T-Love and The Gah goes all the way back to
the early days of the WBPF, before the modern pong-per-view
era began with The Great American
Beer Bash. The Gah had a reputation for being arrogant
and boastful as he does today, while T-Love was more of
a quiet and respectful player. Unfortunately, all photos
of the encounters were lost in a computer crash.
“Even
back then, many superstars and spectators disliked The Gah
for his arrogant nature,” T-Love says, “As I
established myself as one of the top superstars in the league,
other began to look up to me for hope in getting the World
Heavyweight Championship off of The Gah, as people often
became sick of seeing him wear it. The fact that I was able
to do that twice remains one of my proudest accomplishments.”
Shortly
before The Great American Beer Bash, their paths separated
as T-Love focused his energies elsewhere and began to pursue
other interests including establishing and then trying to
save the Paddle Division, focusing on tag team competition
(even winning some gold with The Gah), and even a bizarre
feud with the female sex that lasted through Intoxicade.
Meanwhile, The Gah remained atop the WBPF, defeating all
others who challenged him for his Heavyweight Championship
belt.
“My
god, it’s really hard to believe it’s been almost
a year since T-Love last participated in a one-on-one World
Heavyweight Championship match,” WBPF veteran Freezer
observed.
Now
with the Paddle Division firmly established and his female
sex feud behind him, T-Love has fought long and hard to
get back into the World Heavyweight Championship picture.
Last month he had competed in the fatal fourway match where
he made his presence felt by sinking most of The Gah’s
cups to eliminate him and cost him his championship. However,
The Gah had done damage of his own, causing T-Love to shortly
be eliminated himself by eventual winner Tank.
What
a story it would be if T-Love could get over the hump one
more time at King of the Table and once again inspire hope
like he did in the past.
“I
will crush T-Love for two reasons,” The Gah says,
“because I can and because it will be funny. There
is no greater joy than ruining a feel good story for everyone.”
