The
Gah Wins King of the Table Tournament

The Gah has won pretty
much everything there is to win in the WBPF, so it wasn’t
the largest surprise that he became King of the Table as well.
“All hail KING
GAH!” The Gah exclaimed after capturing his crown.
The Gah defeated
Iceman in the final round of the tournament in what became arguably
one of the greatest beer pong matches ever filmed to date. It was
an intense 10-cup match where both competitors matched each other’s
shots all the way up until the very end when The Gah won on a bring
back. Both superstars finished with shooting percentages at or above
50%, making for an extremely entertaining match.
“This match
was just unbelievable,” said Iceman, “It just sucks
that I put everything I had into that game, played extremely well,
and yet somehow, The Gah was able to be just a little bit better.”
Iceman had held an
ever so slight edge for the majority of the match. After winning
first possession, he was always either one cup ahead of The Gah
or tied, but in possession of the pong balls. Iceman’s undoing
would come in the final turns of the match, when he became the first
player to miss both shots of his turn and then on his final turn
when he sank Gah’s ninth cup on his first shot, but could
not bring it back for the win. The Gah would bring it back for the
win on the very next turn.
“I give it
up to Iceman,” said The Gah, “He put up one hell of
a game and had me on my toes the entire time.”
The final was the
climax of what had already been an incredible tournament up until
that point. What began as a 12-competitor tournament boiled down
to a final four consisting of the WBPF’s top four ranked beer
pong players: The Gah. T-Love, Freezer, and Iceman.
At first it appeared
that the semi-finals were going to steal the show as T-Love and
Iceman clashed in a highly anticipated match where T-Love attempted
to break the curse of never having defeated Iceman in a WBPF arena.
Also, the two superstars had not played each other one-on-one in
over a year, making for a fresh matchup. If that weren’t enough,
a trip to the finals was on the line.
“This match
was huge for me,” T-Love said, “This would have been
the ultimate way to get off the snide with Iceman and hopefully
give me the momentum I would have needed to become King of the Table.
Unfortunately, it was not to be.”
T-Love came the closest
yet to defeating Iceman, hitting the final cup, while having one
of his own left. However, Iceman was able to force overtime on the
rebuttal, where he would go on to win by one cup.
“Normally,
I don’t give credit to my opponents,” Iceman said, “and
today will be no different.”
But at the end of
the day, it was The Gah who was the one true winner. Now that The
Gah is King of the Table, the beer pong world may have no choice
but to refer to him as King Gah.
