ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH

Printer Friendly Version

Competitors: Ideally 30, but at least 10.

Setup:

1.) First, everyone draws a number between 1 and however many people are playing. A neutral non-competitor should keep track of everyone’s number so that it is a secret to the competitors and any spectators.

2.) Each competitor has one cup filled with beer, which they bring to the table when it is their turn to come out.

Start of the Match:

1.) Whoever drew numbers 1 and 2 begin the match, each with possession of one ball. They shall put their cups on opposing corners of the table. See the examples below.

Ideal Setup for the first two competitors
Ideal setup for four simulataneous competitors
Ideal setup for eight simultaneous competitors

During Gameplay:

1.) Players are to only shoot by bouncing the ball. No throwing.

2.) This match is a free-for-all format. A player may shoot as soon as he has possession of a ball.

3.) No player may take possession of a shot ball until it bounces TWICE. However, if the ball is clearly not going into anyone’s cup, the ball may be grabbed after the first bounce.

4.) When a player’s cup gets sunk twice, he is eliminated from the match. There are no redemption shots.

5.) If a player is in possession of any balls when eliminated, they are to be turned over to whoever eliminated him.

6.) When a player’s cup is hit for the first time, he is to take a large gulp of beer. When hit for the second time and eliminated, he is to finish the contents of his cup.

7.) A new competitor joins the match at every 2 minute interval (you can change the length of the interval if you like). The order in which new competitors enter the match is determined by the numbers drawn before the match (e.g. #3 comes in after #2, #4 comes in after #3, followed by #5, etc.).

8.) When numbers 3 and 4 enter the match, they shall bring an extra ball with them. From that point on, there will be 4 balls in play at all times.

9.) A player is automatically eliminated if an opponent’s shot manages to knock his cup over.

10.) If a player drops a ball into his own cup, whether accidentally or intentionally, it counts as one sink against him.

11.) If a player knocks over his own cup, whether accidentally or intentionally, he is automatically eliminated from the match.

Winning the Match:

1.) The last remaining competitor is the winner of the royal rumble.
