Shocker: Bacon Joins Dream Team; Defeats T-Love!
After
many weeks of baconing around, Bacon made his return to the
WBPF and shocked the world by joining the Dream Team.
“He’s
one of us now,” Freezer proudly declared.
Bacon
played against T-Love in what was to be a friendly, exhibition
best of seven series. Bacon, however, was anything but friendly
as he continually showboated for the crowd as he destroyed
his opponent in the first game, winning by three cups.
“Bacon
was acting very un-baconlike. It was strange, but I just kind
of brushed it off at that point,” says T-Love.
Game
2 would be a much closer affair, but Bacon would take advantage
of T-Love’s sloppy play at the end to steal another
victory. With a commanding 2 games to 0 lead, Bacon revealed
that he was now a part of Dream Team and would take great
pride in crushing one of the WBPF’s most decorated superstars.
“I
felt absolutely sick to my stomach ,” says T-Love.
Bacon
views it a different way.
“I
felt so alive. Here I was winning a series against a 3-time
World Champion. I felt like anything was possible. I was finally
living up to my Bacon name.”
T-Love
stormed back with a dominant victory in Game 3 to get back
into the series, but could not break Bacon and Dream Team’s
momentum. Bacon would win Game 4 to take an enormous 3-1 lead.
Freezer was there to support his newest recruit.
“T-Love
was being embarrassed. I was loving every minute of it.”
said Freezer.
In
beer pong, there’s a saying that sinking the final cup
is the hardest. Well, the same could be said for winning the
final game of a series. T-Love would take Game 5 with a narrow
one cup lead. Game 6, however, is when things would really
start to get interesting.
Bacon
had been dominant all game and had made all his cups, with
T-Love needing to hit three in order to force overtime. Bacon
and Freezer were already celebrating. Siezing the opportunity,
T-Love made a heroic bounce shot into Bacon’s cups,
forcing two to be removed. Unbelievably, he would make the
final cup with his last rebuttal shot to force an overtime
no one had imagined possible just 60 seconds earlier. T-Love
would go on to win the overtime by two cups, forcing a decisive
Game 7.
“The
crowd was going nuts,” T-Love says, “it was one
of the wildest comebacks in recent memory.”
In
the final game, T-Love rode his momentum from the previous
game and held a one cup lead for the first half of the match.
Unfortunately for T-Love, Bacon would one-up him one last
time in this series. Bacon hit four cups in a row, bringing
it back twice to win Game 7 and the series. It was the first
time in months that Bacon had hit that many cups in a row.
The
Dream Team celebrated ferociously. It was borderline homoerotic.
“Freezer
was right all along,” says Bacon. “People like
me and him have been held down for too long. Beating T-Love
in this series was just another step in our path to beer pong
domination.”
In
any event, it appears that Dream Team is running as strong
as ever with Bacon now joining their ranks. It will be interesting
to see where the WBPF goes from here.
